Project Hildegard, op verzoek van Slagwerkgroep Den Haag (Nederlandse première september 2006, Musica Sacra). De opdracht tot het aandeel van de Van Beinum Stichting werd verstrekt in 2004. Wood werkte aan deze 120 minuten durende opera tussen 2002-2006.
Mr. James Wood has agreed to write a new musical work for soprano and baritone soloists, chorus, mixed ensemble, percussion ensemble and electronics, to be performed by Sarah Leonard, Omar Ebrahim, New London Chamber Choir, Critical Band and Slagwerkgroep Den Haag, under the baton of Jonathan Stockhammer, which shall have its first British performance on 10th May, 2005 in Norwich Cathedral, and first Dutch performance in September 2006 in The Netherlands, Maastricht during the Musica Sacra Festival.
